The Leland Police Department of Brunswick County, North Carolina, has received recognition from the esteemed North Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation<\/a> program, joining 13 other agencies across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The department was found to have met 116 rigorous standards across multiple disciplines and operations including training, emergency response, use of force policies, community engagement, records management, and enforcement procedures. In a statement, Police Chief Jeremy Humphries said, \u201cWe are proud to meet these high standards and to continue building trust and safety within our community\u201d. The NCLEA program is voluntary, not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
